New year, new events for supply chain professionals

January 2, 2026

2026 kicks off with two key events for those working in the transport and logistics sector: NRF 2026 – Retail’s Big Show in New York, dedicated to technical and strategic innovations in the retail world, and the MARS Winter Meeting 2026 in Illinois, focused on the evolution of rail freight transport.

NRF 2026 – Retail’s Big Show

January kicks off with one of the most important events for the retail and logistics world: NRF 2026 – Retail’s Big Show, scheduled to take place in New York from January 11 to 13. The fair is a key meeting point for retailers, logistics service providers, startups, and technology providers.

Companies and professionals will be able to attend hundreds of sessions dedicated to key topics such as the integration of AI into the supply chain, inventory management, e-commerce strategies, and new solutions for optimizing warehousing, transportation, and delivery. For those working in international transport, it is a strategic opportunity to closely monitor the needs of the retail market and identify high-value services.

MARS Winter Meeting 2026 – Rail Logistics

Also in the first half of January, the MARS 2026 Winter Meeting, organized by the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers, will be held. From January 13 to 15, in Schaumburg, Illinois, shippers, rail operators, carriers, and intermodal logistics stakeholders will gather to discuss innovations in rail freight transport, operational best practices, regulatory developments, and global supply chain strategies.

For companies operating in international road transport and multimodal logistics, the event represents a privileged vantage point on the evolution of rail freight, useful for exploring alternatives to road transport and understanding how rail will fit into logistics networks in the coming years.

Two complementary events offering a comprehensive overview of the new requirements of the global supply chain, including digitization, intermodality, and changing consumption patterns.
